Planet Fitness (PLNT) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.02 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.11 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.36 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -81.82%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this fitness center operator would post a loss of $0.17 per share when it actually produced a loss of $0.32, delivering a surprise of -88.24%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates just once.

Planet Fitness, which belongs to the Zacks Leisure and Recreation Services industry, posted revenues of $105.38 million for the quarter ended September 2020, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.52%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $166.82 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates just once over the last four quarters.
